Dino Dash Trail | Side-Scrolling Dinosaur Action for Kids
What kind of game is it?
A side-scrolling platformer for kids. Switch between 3 dinosaurs, jump across platforms, and head for the nest at the end of the stage. There are 5 stages, and clearing one opens the next.
Each dinosaur has its own special move. Compsognathus can double jump to climb high walls. Ankylosaurus can dash to smash cracked rocks. Brachiosaurus can walk through deep water that the others can't enter. Every stage has places where you need all three.
Each stage hides 3 eggs and one fossil piece. Pick up the fossil piece to unlock a dinosaur fun fact. If you fall into a hole or step into the water, you just start again from a little way back; you never lose. Your clear time and best time are saved, so you can try to beat your record once you get the hang of it.
How to play
- Walk with the ◀ ▶ buttons and jump with the Jump button.
- Tap Swap to change dinosaurs and use their special moves (Compsognathus can jump again in the air; for Ankylosaurus, the Jump button turns into Dash).
- Collect the eggs along the way.
- Reach the nest to clear the stage.
- Need a break? Tap ⏸ to pause at any time.
On a computer, walk with the arrow keys or A and D, jump with the space bar, ↑ or W, and swap with E. Press Esc or P to pause. If you bump into the egg thief, it only pushes you back a little.

Dinosaurs in the game
The 3 dinosaurs you can switch between are Compsognathus, Ankylosaurus, Brachiosaurus. The one wandering around the stages is the egg thief, a relative of Oviraptor. Each dinosaur has its own page in our Dinosaur Encyclopedia (in Japanese).
Fun fact: Compsognathus was a small dinosaur about the size of a chicken, and its light body let it run fast. Brachiosaurus probably used its long neck to eat leaves from tall trees. Pick up the fossil pieces in the game to read more fun facts.
