Dino Sky Guard | Pteranodon Shooting Game for Kids

Play

What kind of game is it?

A shoot 'em up for kids. You are a Pteranodon zooming through the sky. Slide your finger to fly, and nuts shoot upward all by themselves. When a nut hits a falling meteor rock, the rock breaks. Keep the rocks from landing on your dinosaur friends on the ground!

Rocks come in small, medium, and large. Bigger rocks take more hits to break, and a large rock splits into 2 small rocks. Sometimes a golden rock falls. Break it to power up for 10 seconds: become a big Quetzalcoatlus, a fast-shooting Rhamphorhynchus, or get Triple Shot, which fires nuts in 3 directions.

You have 5 hearts. When a rock hits the ground, your friends get startled and you lose a heart. When all the hearts are gone, the game is over. Rocks that bump into your Pteranodon just push it away a little, so you never get knocked out. Every 30 seconds, more rocks fall, and they fall faster.

How to play

  1. Slide your finger on the screen. The Pteranodon moves as far as your finger moves.
  2. Nuts shoot upward by themselves. There is no fire button.
  3. Fly under the rocks and hit them with nuts to break them. Don't let them reach the ground!
  4. Break a golden rock to power up: Quetzalcoatlus, Rhamphorhynchus, or Triple Shot.
  5. Need a break? Tap ⏸ to pause. When you tap Keep playing, the rocks start slowly, so there's no rush.

On a computer, the Pteranodon follows your mouse. You can also use the arrow keys or WASD.

Pterosaurs and dinosaurs in the game

You fly as a Pteranodon. Power-ups turn you into a Quetzalcoatlus or a Rhamphorhynchus. Your 3 friends on the ground are picked at random each game from 151 dinosaurs. Each dinosaur has its own page in our Dinosaur Encyclopedia (in Japanese).

Fun fact: Pteranodon was not a dinosaur. It was a pterosaur, a flying reptile from a different group. When the game is over, you get a pterosaur fun fact, too.
